The Legend of the Girl in the Woods
If I told you the legend of the girl
The girl of the woods
She can climb any mountain, any tree
Whether rocks or dirt, any setting
She runs and is gone like lightning
She's as swift as a cheetah
Could you believe the legend of the girl of the wood
If I told you she swims like a fish
A mermaid in her blood
Water, for her, is energy, life
She kneels beside the water and she can see
Into the depths of it
All the fish and animals
Could you believe the legend of the girl in the woods
If I told you she runs lightly and noiselessly
She can hop on tree's branches
Like a kangaroo hops its way through life
She's invisible to all but those who seek her
Animals are her friends, plants bloom for her
Her senses are sharper than any
Could you believe the legend of the girl of the woods
I believe the legend of the girl of the woods
Because I know that girl
She's just a usual girl
With the love of the forest
Barefoot, strong, she fades into the background
I believe the legend because it's true
I believe it because I am the girl of the woods
