At the end of the Aisle
There will be a day when you walk down the aisle
Symbolizing the start of a new life
With the person you chose to be with
Until death do you apart
But the next time you will walk down
That precious aisle
Is to meet that special person
After they've taken their last breath
And they now sleep in a casket
You only walk down the aisle twice
But there comes a day
Where you will be brought down the aisle
And no matter how strong you are
You cannot avoid the inevitable moment
No matter how dreaded.; it rests
At the end of your personal timeline
And its balance is hung from a thin string
And that day, it won't be you who meets
A loved one at the end of the aisle
It will be... your loved ones who meet you
For a last time, a last glance, a last touch
You start your life in a hospital room
And you are reborn at the end of the aisle
You finish this life you finally chose
Exactly where you have started it
At the end of the aisle
