And are nothing special
Pens and the ink
For those who left
A permanent mark on me
And highlighters
For those who were the highlights
Of some most important
Parts of my life
All my different erasers
For the people in my life
Who make me forget the past
The pretty little glue stick
For those who help me
Glue me back together
When I'm shattered, broken down
A special pen, a marker
Are those who left
A positive, permanent mark on me
All my unique pencils
For my special friends
And then the sharpener
Those slowly ripping you apart
And the scissors
For those people
Who cut themselves out of your life
My life is my pencil case
With it I write down my soul
The shards of my heart
