So close yet so far

The two lonely souls of lovers embrace
And across the globe from them
Another pair of broken souls
Hold each other tight, hearts beating as one
With seas and mountains seperating them
Not even knowing of the other's presence
One free spirit soars above all
Knows all, knows each of them

Over seas and over hills
Lonely people met in a world of solitude
To one another they clang,
Hanging onto the last thread of hope
To finally have someone by their side
The warmth of human flesh,
But the love in their hearts
Hadn't matured yet
Slashed and tortured they met
Wishing someone could have stopped them
From commiting this cruel mistake
With heartache this relationship was born
And with heartbreak it ended
For they weren't ready to love,
They only knew they needn't be lonely

There, across oceans and tidal waves
Damaged souls that hold each other
As if it was the last time they'd see each other
Because everytime they were together,
Meant so much to both of them
They were wounded, as soldiers who went to war
But they had already won over the fight
And ready they were to give their hearts away
They planted the seed of their love
And grew in it, until the end of their days

Afterall, they weren't so far from each other
Just an ocean's tears away
And some mountains of obstacles apart
They were countries away in the map of time
The timeline of a young spirit's life
Colliding with a lonely one,
But regretting; they both weren't ready
When love was truly ready to be given
Someone crossed this beautiful soul's path
To become one, each killing the other's past ghosts

True love was found on a random day
And maybe it was written in the sky above
But the clouds had hidden the message
Maybe the waves washed it from the sand
It might've been in the air or the ground beaneath
But two souls, at last, found true love
