Badlands of a Mindset

My mind is full of badlands.
Desperate for the trees to grow and the Sun to rise.
Full of empty space
And deadly thorns.
Inner thoughts goading at the corners of this desert.
"Think of something"
"Grow something"
"Make something"
As the Sun begins to leak its ink over the darkening blue sky.
It hits me and I am jubilant.
And quietly the badlands of writers block
Start to fade away.
