I am cranky

I went to find my friend Frankie.
On tuesdays we go honey hunting together
but it depends on the weather.
Oh honey the sweet glorious honey
and the bees think they can hide it from us, Ha that's funny!
Sometimes we are as quick as foxes
but sometimes we are as slow as boxes.

I knock on Frankie's door
but he was still doing his chore.
So he said “just go without me”
I felt like a nasty pea!
So I did what he said
but I went to my friend Ned.
I knew he would want to go honey hunting
this thought was just so comforting.
But he also says no cause he was climbing a tree.
He’s  a BEE!

So I go by myself
I am as short as an elf
I climb the tall leafy tree
and I get hungry so I snack on some brie.
I climb further
getting closer to her.
I can smell it from here
I can hear the bees in my ear.
I can see it
I don’t think I am fit.
I grab the nest
I think this is my best!

Ahhhhhhh, The bees are mad
I think one is named Brad!
They’re stinging
the tree is swinging!
I feel like a marshmallow that hurts.
why are the bees not wearing shirts?
More and more bees fly in
I just hit my chin!

I loose my grip on my branch
why I am covered in ranch!?
I start to fall
will my mother ever call?
I am getting closer to the ground
when I hit it it will make a loud sound!
SPLAT!

Perspective B - The Bee

I woke up to a shake
it was my brother jake.
He told me to get dressed
I put on my yellow and black vest
I went to the kitchen
I ate last night’s leftover chicken.
I sat down next to my 567 family members
this hive was our home, and we were all the defenders.

We have been running low on honey
it so isn’t funny!
With no honey
we make no money.
Especially with the bear attacks
they never leave tracks.
When a bear comes we lose 50% of our honey
today my nose is kind of runny.

I hear the alarm; BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
These animals are creeps.
The siren is as loud as a bomb!
We all need to get to our places and stay calm.
Death is normal
this is nothing formal.
The hive starts to shake
it feels like an earthquake.
We look below to see the fat hairy thing
this creature was a ding-a-ling.
Who would climb a tree this tall to a hive full of furious bees
and he stops to eat cheese.
Who does that?!
He was so fat!

As he gets closer, we get our game faces on
it was still only dawn.
We start to fly in
and we sting the skin.
He attempts to grab our hive
I am only five.
We fight harder
you would think this bear was smarter.
He starts to loose his grip and we cheer!
Sam then stings him in the rear!

That was all it took.
Tonight we are going to need the cook!
He starts to fall
and he starts to bawl.
What a baby!
next time he will make a better decision...maybe?
He slams to the ground and is head hits a rock
We were all in shock!
At least we would have a good dinner
we were all a winner.

We had a party that night
we even flew a kite!
I started to feel bad
I wondered about the bears dad.
How would they feel when they found out their son has died and a bunch of bees ate him?
His dad is probably still at the gym.
Oh well it is our job!
“Why would somebody try to steal the honey we worked so hard for bob?”
Because sometimes people are selfish just like that bear.
I will never kill a bear again, I swear!
