Poetry Flows In Me

Poetry flows in me,
Through my pencil into the world;
Writing with no time to think.
Poetry flows in me,
Through rivers and veins
And up to the peaks of my mind.
Poetry flows in me,
Beating its way into my heart
And spilling out from my eyes.
Poetry flows in me,
Centring my existence in light,
And flying through imagination.
Poetry flows in me,
Without it I would be nowhere,
Because poetry truly understands.
