I am a girl
often i am told i am a girl when i should be a lady
often i am told i am rough around the edges and to become delicate and fragile
but fragile is the glass my father threw as if to shatter not just it but my mothers heart too
and delicate like the flowers that so many people crush just to get a better look at the emptiness in their heads
and a lady taught not to show emotions for the sake of face
hell
i am not a lady i am not delicate or fragile
i am the raging whirl wind of chaos thrown into the clouds
i am the tormented sea of lost souls all rolled into one little being
im the glass that lost its shine that day
the cd that no longer plays
im the void slowly being filled
but i am mostly a girl
