Girl with the Seashell Eyes MAG
The girl with the eyes
The seashell eyes
Falls asleep in the rain
(Thunderstorm brain)
And dawn falls to dusk
The world feeding on her, Misery
And all the stars lay hidden in the sky
The boy with the smile
The sunflower smile
Walks slowly in the rain
(Thunderstorm pain)
And by a flash in the storm
Spies he a drowning soul
And all the world is darkness pitched
A gentle whisper
Borne softly on his breath
In her eyes – seashell eyes –
Gleams life to fall and life is felled
And with no smile of her own
His own he tears from off his face
And wears a frown in Misery’s place
The girl with the eyes
The seashell eyes
Wakes up in the rain
(Thunderstorm slain)
And dusk swells to dawn
As her lips twitch upward
A sunflower smile for seashell eyes
