Ready to Fly

I feel so empty,
Like a book,
Reach for my nook,
As my hand leathers like a sore feather,
My thumb is numb as it freezes,
The windy air,
How I do not care,
Just not fair,
As I reach for my wings,
Ready to fly,
As I flee my hands,
Jumping out the window,
On to the concrete,
My life is finally complete.
