Betrayal
You called me screaming at the top of your lungs.
Asking --no-- DEMANDING I tell you what happened that night.
I told you, I told you everything you needed to know.
you practically laughed in my face for it.
And hung up.
You would not tell me to my face
but you could tell everyone else what you thought.
You would say I am a liar.
You were supposed to protect me, watch out for me, love me.
You were supposed to listen to me, believe in me, accept me.
You should have helped me.
Not hurt me, and betray me.
The way you treated me was…
Unfair almost… juvenile.
You were supposed to be the one to save me,
like a shining knight in the fairy tale that I never had.
I was left with my neck in a rope
my feet barely touching the stool.
And YOU were the one
who kicked it out from under me.
