Rose of Sharon
In a land full of misery, filled with deficiency, dry of prosperity,
Comes one, full of fresh hope.
A hope, a dream, a wish she believed.
That life, one day would be better for her, and her family.
Only at sixteen, she was soon to convince
she had even married the man of her dreams.
Soon she was off to a faraway land, the life of a young baby in her own hands.
Semmed liked everything was going according to plan.
Until reality brought down its mighty black hand.
Things sadly took a turn for the worse, she lost her husband, and lost her child.
But, Rose of Sharon never forgot to smile.
As the milk for her infant, became the milk for a dying man
The red land may have won, but through her losses she did understand.
That this was reality, and maybe part of God's plan.
