Blistering Waves
The transparent waves bounced and blistered off the side of the boat and I sat watching in awe.
The fall weather came with breezes that smelled of home and smoke from a crackling bonfire.
The sun was setting, turning a mixed color of orange and pink tint. No noise, no talking or music; the birds chirping and water moving below me were the only things engulfing my ears. You can feel the boat sway as if it were rocking you to sleep.
But you don’t sleep,
you lay there mesmerized by the ever-changing colors of the sky.
Nothing to do and nowhere to be.
