I am a Campfire
You’ll find me beneath a tree
with smiles all around.
Cricket's lullaby every night
with owls singing their rounds.
I’m creative and calm, but
never underestimate my heat--
For I am unexpected,
something you don’t want to meet.
I live for nightlit stars
and for moon ever so shining.
Father Time keeps by,
for I am set to a specific binding.
The day is gone--my friends soon sleep,
my embers now glow with their one last weep.
