Green Eyes
There are so many possibilities for eye colors; hazel, blue, brown. But there is one color that is rare, one that stands out like a cow in a field of sheep-- green. My mother's eyes, hazel. My father's eyes, blue. My eyes, hazel.
But my sister’s eyes, oh my sister’s eyes, green like the color of perfectly manicured grass in the summer.
Her grand green eyes wail for attention, for they are selfish. Then, grasping the gaze of others, they are satisfied. Oh how those eyes are too confident, how those eyes never fail to please a crowd. The crowd always watches, the crowd is never let down.
