Paper, I Am
I hate that I break and tear so easily,
That I fly away when the wind blows my way.
I can document all the things in the world.
I can hold as many words as my space and lines can handle.
I am paper.
The thing that can be easily torn,
but holds all the power in the world.
I’m much thinner than my cousin, cardboard.
Please, don’t let water taint me.
For, I will bleed.
Despite all these minor flaws,
I am very important and life would be a lot different without me.
