To Caroline
It snowed last night.
And as the trees were covered in cold cotton,
and the roads became white paper strips
for sketches of people to cross,
I was thinking of you.
I had a thought of holding you in my arms,
under the covers of cold cotton.
But imagination is a white paper strip,
for sketches of love to cross
colored by thoughts of you.
