Nothing: brisk air whips in from the night, the door won’t be fixed.
Arise: morning sun cuts through the broken glass that is the window, calling for my feet to hit its pavement
Airless: the farther I run, the world acts as if I am in a vacuum, air quantity is limited I must remain calm
Escape: dashing through the streets, I hurdle everything in sight
Arrival: I feel a sense of accomplishment my longest run yet,  first time my face hasn't met the pavement

Nausea: Rousing from bed, Olympic Day is here. Stomach aches in excitement.
Alone: I arrive at Olympia, people scour the arena to stretch in preparation
Arrival: 200m hurdles, the reason I am alive
Adrenaline:Water feels replaced by numbness and serenity. Jumping automatically as if I was breathing
Exhaustion: Pain gushes through my legs requiring me to break up the tight muscles

Naturally: I find myself accepting my race even though I still don’t want to know who won
Announcement: The Herald announces the winner of the 200 m hurdles is…I’m in shock.
Amazement: I smell the olive branch and feel the drips of water on my head: the crown of a champion
Atmosphere: The roaring of the crowd, the salty tears streaming down my face, teeth clenching in a smile
Enthusiasm: Since the race, I have now been blessed with a son. Let this journey be his.
