For Her (Part III)
Your body shone in the dark like a pearl, nestled
in the warm wrinkles of a cloud of blankets.
Moonlit snow dunes floating atop
starlight-frothed waves.
Your body shone in the sun like a butterfly, golden wings
dipping into spinning, infinite blue.
Fluttering eyelid of a child,
twitching at the sun’s rays.
Your body shone like a flower, waiting for the sun
in the corner of an ancient cathedral.
A lingering breath of loneliness
sighed into the shadows of stone walls.
Your body shone like Venus Anadyomene, the arms of the ocean
unraveling around your cloud-white waist.
A rising wave embracing
its long-awaited shore.
