Missus Misery, I've missed you
I’ve missed my misery so-
We’ve seemed to grow apart
These past couple weeks
And i’m glad that you’ve
Revisited.
I love my misery so-
So much that I don’t
Want to get out of bed
Without it
And it stays right next to my
Side, and whispers all the little
Villainous things my psychiatrist says
I should stop telling
Myself.
It’s okay, my misery does it for me
I’ve yearned for my old companion so-
That first grabbed on to my heart long ago
But don’t be frightened, it joined gently
And they stay together like that
Humming a sweet, melancholy song
I’m glad to see them back together again
I missed when their hands intertwined;
It was just so pleasant to see, is all.
I’ve missed my misery so-
Have you missed me, missus misery?
Have you stayed true?
