Only in Heaven
Sleep sweetly my child, lightly as a lullaby
Rest your darling head on a purple pillow
Turn your baby face to the window
And dream of falling stars, of a beautiful moon
and a shard of glass,
Shaped like a rose
For you, my baby.
Sleep, sleep
In the murmurs of the buzzing flies
With the bees that hum and sigh,
Morphing those lovely lies
into honey for your sweet bread.
Lie still now, baby
Blink away the blue droplets
with a chubby fist,
And sleep forever my child;
Sleep always in the blossoming grass.
