How Do You Imagine Me?
Do you envision me with pretty, wild flowers in my hair
Painted a delicate white, pink, yellow, mahogany and blue
With golden curls that rise up with the sun
And perfect teeth that gleam white in the thrashes of the light?
Do you see me with plump pink lips,
Puckered up as though for a kiss
Eyebrows raised and straight,
And dressed in silver glimmers on our first date?
Do you think of me as red or blue,
Moods crashing like the wind
Or else soft like snow?
Do you picture gentle feathers in my hair,
And a calm, blazing look as I meet your stare;
Or do you dream of me as free as a bird
Charging through the grass like a beastly herd?
Do you illustrate the dimple in my smile
And the glint in my blue eyes;
Do you sketch the fire in my gaze,
Or the pupils chalked in black as coal?
Do you ever get blue,
Missing me, and I you?
If you think of me too…
How do you imagine me?
