Generation Start Over
Generation start over.
I want to talk about this generation
Our generation
my generation,
How everything is taken for granted.
Where the new Iphone 5 isn't good enough anymore,
needing a faster search time is more important than spending time with family.
I want to talk about this generation
How being in the in crowd means leaving your self on the out crowd.
Mindless zombies to the people we think our are friends
getting into things that we wouldn’t have tried ourselves.
Deep down knowing it isn’t the right thing to do but we go along,
down the path of self destruction.
I want to talk about our generation
how disrespectful and dishonest most of kids our
not just to ourselves but to our elders.
Growing up where things were just handed to to us
not lifting a finger
not breaking a sweat.
How now the meaning of living
providing
for ourselves frightens us.
Even just the words send shivers down our spines like the cold wind of a dark december night that we’ve never felt.
Struggles.
we’ve never and will never experience because our parents generation worked so damn hard on making sure we could live a better life.
Nothing like their own.
I want to talk about being a better person.
How a thank you and yes please will put a smile on our grandparents faces.
How doing a good deed without expecting anything out of it will secretly make your life a little more worth living for.
Maybe not today or the next that favor will come back in a positive way.
Putting a smile on your face.
