Generation Millennials
I was born into a generation where it’s better to be alone than to be
carried by whole crowd of friends.
Where whispers among each other float like water over a rough river bed.
I was born into a generation where people make laughter into things that people fear the most where it's better to keep your feelings hidden under clothes that are hand me downs from years ago.
I was born in a generation where lies are more like the truth than the actual truth. Where girls are snapshots of plastic Barbies destined to find her Ken.
I was born into a generation where the kids are more like adults, forced to grow up too fast. Betrayed by parents,
Siblings,
Friends.
I was born into a generation where being yourself isn’t enough.
I was born into a generation
That I would..
I would have not chose to be born into.
