In the back of my mind
A simple sanctuary
Deep breath in
Close my eyes
Explosions of color light up the skies
Waves roll in, erasing where I’ve been
I am free
I am shaking
I am weightless
I am terrified
Your words float with the clouds
You tell me I am nothing
Yet you don’t use words
Thunder booms,
Screaming
Lightning crackles,
Laughing
Rain pours,
Sobbing
