The scars on your arms. The pills on your night stand.
The holes in your chest. The vomit on your bathroom floor.
The skeletons in your closet. The life lessons taught with a swift kick while you’re down. The trust issues and feeling of never being good enough.
The panic attacks. The eager plea for a horrible accident.
The nightmares that aren’t nightmares at all.  The attraction to boys who beat you.
The self-hate. The inability to trust anyone who wears a badge.
The days gone by without a word. The hours spent praying to a god that doesn’t exist.
The reason you’re alive.
You owe it all to them and they know. They know that every night for rest of your life you’re going to have to feel the guilt. Indifference is the cruelest punishment so respect your elders kid.
