Will you be my British King

And I'll be your American Rebel?

 

I'll yell,"The British are coming" and

You may tread on me!

 

I know this is nothing special, 

Yet you are always welcome in

My thirteen colonies...

 

Oh, how this sweet irony will be

The death of me!

This poem was inspired by my love for a boy who is dear to me, but an ocean away.... We may be far apart, but our hearts will be forever intwind.
