There's a sort of calm before sleep takes over the body
A moment where you surrender yourself to the darkness
In your peaceful state the body begins to numb, leaving you with a sense of weightlessness
As I lay there, at that precise moment, my mind ventured to the farthest reaches of my brain
I felt nothinig, not calm but empty
A state that I have been in for some time
A familiar presense, a friend I have come to know well
I am not worried
I feel nothing
