Squirm
When you start to squirm at every issue
remember that I’m at the roots.
I don’t want to be there
You keep me stuck there
So now I’m pinned at the roots of your issues like an empty shell
I don’t even bother to hang around.
You deceive yourself so skillfully
But I know you still cling on to my empty shell
You fight me so that you can hold on to me
You know I won’t love it all again
So you realize hate is stronger than love
You want me to feel anything for you
So you choose to make me hate you
You figure it's better than nothing at all
So that you can still fall beneath my imagery
Silly voices shouldn’t work on people who’ve moved on
Comparisons should be gone with past feelings
Memories forgotten
If it helps your subconscious pain
I guess I could hate you for the remaining month
Since you want me to feel something for you
Hey, I guess it’s better than nothing at all, right?

Sometimes what makes you happy isn't always healthy. A former lover, and close friend has sucummbed to this because I rejected him again and again because I wanted him to fully move on. I wrote this a long time ago when all I wanted was for him to move on. All I am sorry for is letting him fall into such a toxic (to both sides), of a relationship.
