It’s the year the tech-savvy giants went to the auto show.
Auto makers revved up on high tech trends as well,
from virtual reality to drones.

Seeking high-tech partners to help them implement:
artificial intelligence,
big data,
and eventually autonomous driving.

Although the car maker promised capabilities for --
“A car that understands you best,”
details were scarce...

A spotlight was then presented for Apple Inc.’s CarPlay and Google Inc.’s Android Auto.
With an in-car navigation and music system; a push dubbed, “Internet Plus.”
An iCar series that can be controlled through a smartphone app or voice commands.
Cowin’s slogan defines it as, “The smart internet cars that young people love!”

It is the young that auto makers are targeting,
looking to engage with -- smartphone-savvy drivers.
In a cooling market, with increased car connectivity.

For those with a taste of Daimler’s Mercedes-Benz,
or Volkswagen’s luxury brand Audi,
the iCar series provide peripherals with high-tech love spilled all over.
It is one shade of blue developed especially for the world’s biggest auto market...

And it is now available globally.

-- Joe Janssen, from “China Auto Show Goes High-Tech”
