split decisions
Six Vibrant Mallards
They don’t have a say in what happens to them. We choose their destiny. Six Vibrant Mallards with colorful heads and keen eyes like a hawk. Six who will have their lives ended too soon. Six innocent animals coming to an unexpected fate. Sitting in the duck blind we can see them soaring overhead.
Their clueless. They dive in towards the decoys. They lift back up to circle the spread of fake ducks on the water one more time. Making a decision to land or not.
Forgetting all of their surroundings, they make that final dive into the decoy spread. Bang, bang, bang, three gun shots. Mallards dropping.
The birds fall into the water, as the black lab runs and jumps into the water to retrieve the ducks that had died. After the gunshots, there is nothing flying in the sky anymore. Six mallards laying on the boat. Six less birds to mate for next season. Six unexpecting birds, with the thought of life and life.
