Hidden Behind a Mask
You can wear a mask
As you would in a ball
But then you'll ask
How, for your mask, I don't don't fall
You see... cracks, misshaps, wrongs
Give away the colors and emotions
That you hid behind, you longed
For a safe haven I uncovered; passion
I've worn the costume
Zipped another skin on
Faded into the fumes
Died inside and out; skins in a ton
I hid my body in something fake
And I can spot miles away
Someone, the same road, they take
I see the pain, what's supposed to be stored away
