Paper Problems
I nibble on my nails
As sweat beads across my forehead
Is it hot in here?
I breathe in and out
Watching everyone else
Muffle giggles with their hands
He stands on stage
In front of the entire school
Clueless to the humiliation
He straightens his tie
I fidget in my seat
Then...
I can't take it anymore!
I shuffle across the gym floor
And pass the silently chuckling teachers
Up the stairs I go
I stand beside my principal and
Whisper in a low voice,
“Mr. Johnson, you have toilet paper
dangling from your pants!”
