All I can say is
I don’t know what to tell my friend
When she’s sad
I understand it;
That inescapable feeling
That you used to think of where you’d be
In five years
And some nights it now seems as though
You won’t make
It.
All I can say is, that is how I used to feel
And miraculously I am still here
I understand that some days you feel like
You’re never going to get out of this town,
Never going to get rid of your baggage,
It just might always weigh you
Down
Down
Down
All I can say is,
That is how I used to feel
And miraculously I am still here
I understand that
Some days you look in the mirror
And all you see are the demons that haunt you
And the spark in your eyes seems gone
And they used to change colours, but they’ve
Felt blue, so blue,
And so are you,
And nothing seems to make you feel
Better
All I can say is,
That is how I used to feel
And now I am here
It isn’t a miracle
When I had the blues,
You showed me the rest of the skies hues-
And if somehow you don’t
Love yourself as much as I do
Then I’ll just have to love enough
For two.
