Dreaming
Spending warm summer days in bed
Laying with my love
I haven’t thought about exploring New York in awhile
The delusional hustle and bustle
People going everywhere,
They always have a place to be
You get to see
The most interesting of faces
Maybe a girl in tight jean shorts
Listening to that song that’s been
Stuck in your head
Maybe a mad man who is wearing
A traffic cone on his head
carrying a briefcase
And sometimes it’s frightening,
But it’s always
Beautiful
I guess it’s hard to consider my future
When my present is laying beside me
You’re the only thing and everything I need.
