Fairytales Don't Exist
Once upon a time,
There were several girls,
I limited them down to one,
The one I drowned myself in,
She was a pretty blue-eyed girl,
A dreamer with her head in the clouds.
But over time she got too caught up in people instead of her dreams,
She fell for those who would make her heart ache,
Those who wouldn't serve her favourite kind of cake on her birthday,
Those who wouldn't give her the love that she creates,
While I’m not fake,
I wouldn’t break her,
I'd make her a cream pie,
For all the lies they have told,
As I hold her,
Showing her how I much could give her,
She could live in my dreams,
But as beautiful as they seem,
I sorrowfully beam,
That they truthfully,
Are make believe.
