The Problem with Tomorrows MAG
there’s always another one
waiting patiently in line
(it seems to stretch on and on like elastic
wrapped ’round the moon
until tomorrow doesn’t come
and you’re left alone
a frayed ribbon blowing in a listless breeze
the words unsaid hanging heavy
in your lungs)
a tomorrow is useless
unless it drips between your fingers
unless you lose it in today
because todays are dangerous
and tomorrows
are nevers in disguise
