Picked
It's the feeling afterward that entices me
It's the calming effect I feel
I get anxious, I pick
I get bored, I pick
I feel like I am in a constant battle
To pick, or to endure the anxiety
There is only one thing I can do
Pick
Nowhere that can be easily shown
Just my scalp
It provides sort of a comfort
I can pick first
Then cover it with a flip
I can ignore it until I get the urge again
Then I know it will heart
When it's cold, I can feel the pain shoot from my head
When it's hot, I can feel it burn
I can't escape the feeling I get afterwards
Happiness isn't the exact word to explain it
One day, I will be a able to stop
But today is not the day
