Twins
Twins
Not the same
Alike, but not the same.
Two separate names, two separate identities.
One womb, one egg, but two different people.
Together since birth, never apart.
A unique bond that can’t be broken.
Lives intertwined, so close.
Depending on each other for love.
Struggling to find oneself when everyone looks at you as the same.
Competition between the two, who is better who is worse.
Striving to to be an individual when you were born a pair.
Not knowing what to do when you are no longer together.
Living separate lives without each other.
The world suddenly seems lonely and boring.
Your sibling, your other half, is no longer there right by your side.
Something is missing something is gone.
We are not the same.
But we will always be one.
