What is a Woman? MAG
She is a saint, she is a witch, she is a lily
in shallow water; a daisy, a rose. She is
Artemis, she is Aphrodite. She is Naomi,
and she is Delilah.
She is a martyr, she is a lover, she is your
sister, she is your mother. She is the moon,
the sky, the reason for living, a servant of
man, a goddess to be worshipped.
She causes plagues, she heals the sick; she
is inferior to man, she is superior. She is
sentimental, she is cold-hearted. She is
flowers and fertility and, of course, she’s
domesticity. She seduces, she destroys,
she inspires. She is everything
but herself.
