Jacob
"Yes I did"
Rang through the courtroom
Packed with family and friends
Anxious to get answers
They listened to final moments
Waterfalls of tears stain their faces
Acting alone
He took one
Told two to run
Only eleven
His innocence gone
Shots in the air
A new angel up there
More cries heard
No words
The pain is still there
Gave up something
To gain something
"We got Jacob back"

This poem is about the Jacob Wetterling case. It tells of Danny Heinrich's sentence and his confession in the courtroom with all of his friends and family listening. I took a news paper article and made my own poem of the events said in the article.
