God, Are You There?
I often ponder on the thought of You.
I just sit alone and let thoughts race through my head.
I let them drift and sway in my mind.
I get in a place of sin, and my thoughts become less of you and more of Him.
I attempt and hide them for your presence,
but you already know my every thought,
every move,
every word,
every sight that goes this earthly body.
I try to be like you, I really do.
But in a world that more often then not, hates you,
it's hard to be like you.
I wanna be your light, but it seems like you're not mine.
I go to you and give you all my burdens,
but it's like you throw them back.
I want to be yours.
I want you to fill me up,
and be mine.
But sometimes it's hard, and I start to ponder again, and I think...
God, are you there?
