Farewell to Gravity
The song is joyful and it fills me,
Yet sadness twinges through me;
I remember my fallen promise to you
And all the glowing moments we created.
I wish I could share my joy with you,
But I left you behind on the ground
When I took to the skies and to freedom,
So now I must keep my eyes raised up;
I may glance back at you from time to time
As the memories fill me with longing,
But I will continue to fly onwards, and upwards.
