My Little Box of Lies
This is my box, it's full of lies
It used to be small, now it's big
Too many lies for a small box
Some lies I told, most were told to me
Like the one from three years ago
When you said you'd always be there
Or the one from last summer break
When I said I'd always love you
But that was before you broke my heart
Before you were too afraid
Before I gave up on you
Before I was too hurt to care
So this is my box, I keep it here
I pull it out when another lie comes
I add all the lies to my box
Because I know one day
They'll all be gone

I was listening to various songs, some currently ring true for me and others brought back old memories. I began writing this in my head, so I quickly grabbed paper and a pen and wrote it down.
