you are a work of art
It’s really hard to put you into poetry
Because how can art be formed into words created by a mediocre author?
The freckles on your face is the constellation in the sky
people ogle at
And your skin is the smooth marble
on a sculpture nobody is allowed to touch
The way you cross your legs is a ballet routine
talent scouts adore
And your face is the angel statue
at the museum students study for history class
The curls in your hair are flower petals
drawn in a mesmerizing pattern
And your voice is the pristine sound of a flute
standing out in an orchestra
The story of your life is a bestselling book
everyone needs to read
And your scars are lines in an abstract painting
with a much deeper meaning
It’s really hard to make a poem about someone who is poetry
Because there isn’t enough art in the world to describe how beautiful you are.
