Veggies Please!
As my plate hovers above the table,
the left and right side of my brain,
venture into conversation.
Left brain starts,”Veggies please!”
Right brain argues,”No thanks,”
“Pick up some cookies instead.”
I start walking towards the sweets,
“C’mon now you don’t need those,”
my left brain says with conflict.
“But, it tastes so good,”
the right side responds,
“you’ll surely love it!”
I snap out of it and,
listen to my left brain,
while scooping some carrots.
