Knight and Soldier
I still remember the day you left me,
the leaves were changing color,
the fall breeze was controlled by our laughter,
the whole summer,
we talked and talked about our love for each other,
school started again,
and I seemed invisible to you,
but we continued to flirt,
then a few weeks later,
you found interest in my best friend,
and the puddles on rainy days,
filled up in my tears.
sear my heart with a sword,
because I am built up and dying,
like a soldier running to his battle field
my battle field is inside
pulling me down
oh this will be a long ride
I lost my soldier,
but a few months later,
I found myself a knight,
the soldier was c***y,
and the knight,
he treats me right.
