Snow Days
Seniors dream of waking up to a school cancelation text.
It happened over night,
snowflakes appearing from the sky that was hexed.
All seniors feeling delight.
Snow, Snow, Snow, Snow
Hoping we get snowed in all week,
piling inches and inches of snow on top of the roads,
letting us ice-skate on the creek.
Turning our brains on shut down mode
Snow, Snow, Snow, Snow
Not having to worry about school for a week,
making a senior’s dream come true.
The dream might seem meek,
but the joy grew and grew.
Snow, Snow, Snow, Snow
Hoping for no make-up days,
so we can graduate as scheduled.
Dispersing us in our separate ways,
getting prepared for college waiting for our schedule.
