The Confession
What if I told you I loved you?
Would you even care,
Would you leave her for me,
And let her vanish into thin air?
What if I kiss you now,
Underneath the stars.
Would you take back
What rightfully was ours?
What if I held your hand?
Would you let your fingers wind?
Would you hold me tight and smile,
With an image of me in mind.
Would you tell me you love me,
And that you have from day one.
Would you choose me,
When all is said and done
Would you actually love me?
With all your mind, body, and soul.
For if you won’t,
I beg you spare me this harrowing toll.
