Will I make it?
My mother tells me “Of course”
My father tells me “No doubt”
But I tell myself “Not likely”
Will I make it?
My friends tell me “You’re so good”
My coaches tell me “You’re a star”
But I tell myself “Yeah, right”
Will I make it?
My co-workers tell me “You’re a fighter”
My boss tells me “Anyone would take me”
But I tell myself “No one will see me”
Will I make it?
The coaches tell me “You’re a natural”
The teammates tell me “We need you”
So I tell myself “I was wrong”
I made it.
